Q.Is there a minimum project budget?

A.

Flagship primarily supports enterprise e-commerce projects that standard features alone cannot handle — such as core system integrations, cross-border e-commerce, and complex custom development. Given the nature of these projects, the typical minimum project budget is ¥10 million. The more complex the requirements, the more our strengths in upstream design come into play.

Q.Can I consult you without an RFP?

A.

Yes, we can. Flagship supports discovery and upstream design consultation from the earliest stages, even before requirements are finalized. We help you think through questions like "How much should Shopify handle?" and "What should stay in existing systems?" Please feel free to reach out.

Q.What types of companies should choose Shopify Plus?

A.

Shopify Plus is the right choice if any of the following apply:

· API integration with core systems (ERP, WMS, PIM, etc.) is required

· You have a large catalog or complex pricing structures (B2B, cross-border, multichannel, etc.)

· Advanced checkout customization (using Shopify Functions) is needed

· You want to build a scalable e-commerce foundation for future business growth

· Collaboration with an in-house development team and API usage are assumed

Q.Do you handle projects other than Shopify Plus?

A.

Our primary focus is large-scale, high-complexity projects using Shopify Plus. While Shopify Plus is not a strict prerequisite, we assess suitability on a case-by-case basis after an initial meeting. Please feel free to consult us.

Q.What is the process from consultation to contract and project start?

A.

Please contact us via the inquiry form. After a discovery call via web conference, we confirm your requirements, goals, and schedule, then submit a proposal and estimate. Once you are satisfied with the content, we proceed to contract and kickoff. The process from initial discovery to contract typically takes 2–4 weeks. Please note that phone consultations are not available.

Q.How long does a typical build take?

A.

For standard projects, we have cases where the fastest implementations go from discovery to launch in approximately 3 months. However, projects involving core system integrations, multi-phase migrations, or multi-region setups can take several years. If there are schedule constraints, phased releases are also an option.

Q.Can you integrate with core systems?

A.

Yes, this is one of our core strengths. We specialize in API integration design with existing systems such as ERP, WMS, PIM, and MDM. We support upstream architecture decisions — determining what to keep in Shopify and what to retain in existing systems — and have built a strong track record in this area where architectural expertise becomes the key differentiator.

Q.Can you handle migration from an existing e-commerce site to Shopify?

A.

Yes, we can. We have experience migrating from a wide variety of domestic and international cart systems. We provide end-to-end support including product and customer data migration, SEO-conscious URL design, and redirect handling. Designing the right structure from the start — with post-migration operations in mind — is essential.

Q.Can you support cross-border e-commerce and international sales?

A.

Yes, cross-border e-commerce is one of our primary areas of expertise. We provide comprehensive support for multilingual and multi-currency setups, region-specific pricing, tax, and shipping configuration via Shopify Markets, and international logistics and customs design. With our bilingual Japanese-English organization, we have experience in both global brands entering Japan and Japanese brands expanding overseas. Q.Can you handle B2B and wholesale e-commerce?

Yes, we can. We have experience building wholesale and order management systems using Shopify Plus's native B2B features (company-specific pricing, net payment terms, volume discounts, company account management). Q.Do you support Headless Commerce?

Yes, we do. ① Generative AI search optimization: We help design structures that allow generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity to accurately recognize and cite your product and brand information (AEO/LLMO: also known as AI search optimization). This covers product information structuring, metadata design, and content design.

② Shopify AI feature adoption: We help integrate verified Shopify AI features — such as Sidekick (store management AI assistant) and Shopify Magic (product description generation, image editing) — into your operations.

③ Agentic Commerce readiness: As of March 2026, all Shopify stores will be included in ChatGPT's product search results. Designing your store to capture AI-driven traffic is becoming increasingly important.

Q.Do you offer ongoing support after site launch?

Yes, we offer monthly contract support. Coverage includes staff training, documentation, business automation, improvement development, and emergency troubleshooting. Operational outsourcing such as order processing and customer support is not included. Costs vary based on support scope and scale — please share your requirements with us. Rather than a "build and done" approach, we are often engaged as a long-term partner growing alongside your business.

Q.Can I hire you for maintenance only?

Yes, we can. We also accept engagements from operators running existing Shopify stores who only need maintenance and technical support. We will discuss your needs and propose an appropriate arrangement and team structure.
