Develop Maps
The rapid evolution of technology has turned the craft of building software — once our weapon of choice — into a commodity, now in the hands of AI. Writing code to specification and making systems run is, in itself, no longer the source of value.
Yet we do not regard this structural shift — one that strikes at the very foundation of our business — as a threat. The era of being bound by man-hours, risk-hedging, and the conventions of the past is over. We are convinced that the time has come to pour our full intensity into what we do best: the act of daring.
AI now reasons at a profound level, even forging creative connections in ways once thought uniquely human. It excels at stitching together existing maps to arrive at the optimal answer. But to hold a sense of the problem as one's own, and to envision the future from the urgent conviction that "this is the map I want to draw" — that, it seems, still rests in human hands. At least, for now.
The maps not yet drawn that we continue to create lie beyond the horizon of AI's prediction.

Architects, project managers, engineers, and UX designers work in close collaboration — successfully supporting domestic e-commerce for foreign-affiliated companies in close coordination with their HQs, and enabling many domestic enterprises to expand into cross-border e-commerce.

From the day ChatGPT was released to the public, we have been continuously thinking about how to implement AI in the EC operations field — what could be called a "mixed martial arts" environment.
In EC businesses, a huge number of tasks occur simultaneously every day: product registration, inventory management, order and purchasing management, logistics, accounting integration, customer support, returns handling, data analysis, and more.
To streamline these operations and create a state where team members can focus on the high-value work they should be doing, we adopt an approach we call "AI Engineering."
AI Engineering is not about treating AI as a peripheral tool or supplementary feature, but skillfully embedding AI-driven thinking at the core of business processes and the engineering behind them to achieve dramatic performance improvements.
At Flagship, we are advancing development and operations using Claude Code, bringing to life applications that continue to be used on the front lines — from EC system feature development to internal business automation.
That said, simply delegating to AI does not create value on its own.
We wield the latest tools and AI to multiply the output and quality of ourselves and our teams.
Even so, whether that output can be elevated into genuine results always comes down, in the end, to people.
That is why we keep sharpening our foundations: the knowledge and experience to design the right processes and architecture together with an understanding of the target business, a deep grasp of how AI behaves and how to use it, and the critical thinking to rigorously evaluate the output.
This groundwork is not confined to a handful of specialists.
At Flagship, we go far beyond so-called prompt training: for every member — not only engineers in the traditional sense — we provide hands-on education in the practical use of Claude Code, including MCP integration and app development.
The results have been significant, and each person is now able to step into "plus-alpha" work beyond their original remit.
Even as we feel the pressure of AI's breakneck progress, we are learning to ride the wave with our own hands — and we genuinely enjoy it.
